COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Tuesday, December 20 is a day dedicated to fallen Colorado State Patrol Trooper Cody Donahue.
CSP released a statement Monday inviting the public to enjoy a meal at any Chili’s in Colorado, where 20 percent of net sales generated will go toward the Donahue family.
Patrons are asked to mention Trooper Donahue, Trooper Jursevics, or the fallen Colorado State Patrol.
Donahue was killed on November 25. He was investigating another crash on I-25 south of Castle Rock when he was hit and killed by a passing truck.
The first Give Back event with Chili’s and CSP took place last year to honor Trooper Jaimie Jursevics, who was killed in November 2015 after she was struck by an impaired driver on the side of I-25 as she was inspecting another vehicle.
