Carver Elementary gets $10,000 donation from Burlington Stores

A+ News

Carver Elementary School in Colorado Springs District 11 was presented with a $10,000 check from Burlington Stores Tuesday.

It’s all thanks to a partnership between Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org .

The donation is in celebration of Burlington’s new store opening along Powers Boulevard. Each time the company opens a new store, they give a donation to a local school.

“Our teachers have big, big hearts, and so to be recognized by Burlington for all the teachers’ effort and their finances to go towards having students do better in school and work really hard, it’s an amazing thing,” principal Dr. Missy Hollenbeck said.

The donation will be used to provide hundreds of dollars in new supplies for each teacher’s classroom.
