Russell Middle School once again was named a “Colorado Trailblazer School To Watch,” now holding the longest, sustained designation of the award in state history.

The Colorado Association of Middle Level Education is honoring Russell for its continued success for the past 12 years by challenging students to use their minds, creating a learning environment sensitive to unique developmental needs or early adolescence and delivering a high-quality learning experience for every child.

“I’m super proud because I’ve only been here for a year and I feel like the impact that not just I have made but that everyone else has made, it’s just a huge impact to the community to be a part of so it’s just a great school to be a part of,” said eighth grader Natalie Rodriguez.

Russell is one of the 100+ schools being recognized nationwide at the National Schools To Watch Conference in Washington, D.C. on June 29.
