COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman is facing a variety of charges after a serious car vs. pedestrian crash at West Colorado Avenue and Chestnut Street that took place just before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

A CSPD Officer arrested 30-year-old Tara Studer of Colorado Springs after seeing her commit a traffic violation. CSPD says their officer attempted to pull Studer over and, in the process, watched her strike another vehicle legally parked in the roadway as well as a man who was unloading the vehicle at the time.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Studer is charged with vehicular assault, DUI, reckless driving, and driving under restraint.
