About 200 Fort Carson soldiers are coming home Monday after a deployment to Europe.
The soldiers are with the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division. They deployed to Europe in June in support of the Atlantic Resolve mission. The mission “builds readiness, increases interoperability and enhances the bonds between ally and partner militaries with multinational training events in Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania,” according to Fort Carson officials.
Several more groups of soldiers from the brigade will come home in the following weeks.
A homecoming ceremony will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the special events center on post.
