About 100 Fort Carson soldiers are coming home this week after a deployment to Europe.
The soldiers are with the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division. They deployed to Europe in June in support of the Atlantic Resolve mission. The mission “builds readiness, increases interoperability and enhances the bonds between ally and partner militaries with multinational training events in Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania,” according to Fort Carson officials.
Several more groups from the brigade are expected to return home in the coming weeks.
A homecoming ceremony will be held at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at the special events center on post.
