Military Taptoo celebrates “Silent Ranks” upon weekend return to Colorado Springs

In-Studio Interviews

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — It’s a celebration of patriotism and it’s right here in Colorado Springs.

This weekend, the Military Taptoo returns to the Pikes Peak Center.

It will feature an all-new military music spectacle that includes military bands, precision drill teams, dancers, singers and the international massed Pipes and Drums.

This year’s show is set to celebrate “The Silent Ranks” – the men, women, boys and girls who sacrifice every day without ever wearing a uniform in support of the service members they love.

The Colorado Military Taptoo is a show presented annually and is based on centuries-old military tradition of ending the day.

It comes from the same tradition as the bugle call “Taps” and comes from the Dutch phrase “Doe Den Tap Toe” meaning “Shut off the beer taps!”>> Click here for more information on the Taptoo happening this weekend.
