The Mac Cicak Memorial Foundation held a charity poker run Sunday to raise money for El Paso County Search and Rescue.
An auction was hosted at Whiskey Baron after the ride.
The ride was in memory of Mac Cicak, who wanted to give back to the community.
“He was the definition of philanthropist,” Mac’s daughter Niki Cicak said. “We didn’t have a lot growing up, but he would reach in his pocket and give out the last $2 to somebody who needed it worse than we did. He believed that we were just stewards of whatever God gave us, and we just hold onto it until somebody else presents themselves who needs it more. So it’s important for us to pass on his legacy and keep that legacy going.”
