About 150 local volunteers spent Saturday planting flowers and painting at Hillside Community Center.
It was all part of Comcast Cares Day, which is held each year to help strengthen and support the communities where Comcast customers and employees live and work.
“There’s never enough resources to go around for everything that needs to be done, and so it takes organizations who care about the communities they do business in to go the extra mile,” Visit Colorado Springs President and CEO Doug Price said.
“We can put a lot of person power, a lot of resources, to play at this community center, which services this entire community,” Comcast Senior Executive Vice President David Cohen said.
The event was part of the fourth annual Great American Cleanup Pikes Peak Partners, which is a community effort to keep the Pikes Peak region looking beautiful.
