FOUNTAIN, COLO. -- Colorado State Patrol is investigating an overnight crash in Fountain, which resulted in one death.
The crash happened on Interstate 25, near the South Academy Boulevard exit, shortly after midnight Monday.
State Patrol said a vehicle was traveling southbound, when the driver lost control and rolled over onto the northbound lanes.
Three passengers were in the vehicle at the time.
The driver, 42-year-old Pamela McCullom of Fountain, was transported to a local hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.
The two passengers, 10-year-old Emony Whiteley and 13-year-old Kirsten Smith, were also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
None of the people in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, authorities said.
During the investigation, troopers shut down the northbound lanes of I-25 between MM 132 and MM 135. The lanes are now reopened.
At this time, it is uknown whether alcohol, drugs or speed were a factor on the crash.
State Patrol is still investigating.
