Wildfire-related closings for Wednesday

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Here are some closures and cancellations in Southern Colorado, courtesy of the Colorado Springs Gazette:
 
- IntelliTec (Colorado Springs):  Evening classes canceled.
 
- El Paso County Clerk and Recorder's Office at the Citizen Service Center, 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road, is closed until further notice. All other clerk branch offices remain open.
 
- Recreation closures: Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Garden of the Gods park and visitor center, Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, Palmer Park, North Cheyenne Canon Park, Starsmore Discovery Center, Helen Hunt Falls visitor center, Pikes Peak Highway, Pulpit Rock Park, Section 16, High Drive, Wilson Ranch pool,  Blodgett Open Space, Ute Valley Park, Stratton Open Space, Rainbow Falls Recreation Area in Manitou Springs.
 
- Silver Key Senior Services transportation service for medical appointments only. Meals on Wheels runs as usual.
 
- City of Colorado Springs youth baseball, t-ball and softball at Palmer Park, Pinon Valley and Mountain Shadows cancelled as of Monday. Young Stars at Golden Hills will be relocated to Dublin Park until further notice. Young Stars at Palmer Park will be relocated to Village Green Park until further notice.
 
- All scheduled Air Force Academy athletic events have been cancelled until further notice. This includes USAFA Sports Camps and the Girl’s Elite Basketball Camp. Check on goairforcefalcons.com for the latest sports updates.
 
- Academy officials have directed a base closure for normal operations for Wednesday.  Only mission essential personnel and personnel in direct support of cadet activities should plan to report for duty. In addition, the Air Force Academy is closed to visitors until further notice. AFA branch of Air Academy Federal Credit Union is closed.
 
- Colorado Technical  University was closed Wednesday.
 
- D38 is closed to all district activities Wednesday, including rentals, My Place, Summer School, and all student activities.
 
- The Manitou Mob on Wednesday has been canceled. The event, aimed at helping Manitou Springs businesses closed by the weekend evacuation, has been moved to noon July 9, according to the event's Facebook page. On that date, shoppers are encourage to head to Soda Springs Park and into Manitou for some charitable spending. They want to ensure firefighting efforts "can be directed to those affected," including people who have lost or are at risk of losing property, the page said.
 
- Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains' Westside health center is under mandatory evacuation and patients are being redirected to the Eastside health center at 3958 N. Academy Bldv. #108.
 
-Mountain Metropolitan Transit fixed route and FREX service will not be operating on their routine schedules on Wednesday. Metro Mobility will provide only medical scheduled appointments. All fixed route, FREX, and Metro Mobility bus drivers should report at their scheduled times for emergency service transportation.
