Colorado highway closed because of snow and ice

WELLINGTON, COLO. (AP) -- Interstate 25 between northern Colorado and Cheyenne is back open.

The Colorado Department of Transportation had temporarily closed the highway between Wellington to the Wyoming border because of ice and snow Tuesday morning. The southbound lane was closed from Cheyenne to the border because of an accident.

Snow is expected to continue over southeast Wyoming and northern Colorado.

Up to 5 inches of snow expected is forecast in Wyoming.

Up to 3 inches of snow is expected along areas of the Front Range, with even more snow expected in the Colorado mountains, where up to 8 inches of snow is forecast.
