CUSTER COUNTY, COLO. -- A wildfire burning in Custer County has grown to 80 acres, according to U.S. Forest Service officials.
The Ditch Creek Fire started Wednesday morning after a lightning strike about five miles northwest of Beulah, which is between Round Top Mountain and Scraggy Peaks.
Nobody has been evacuated yet, but Custer County Sheriff's deputies have made some reverse 911 calls for informative purposes.
About 87 firefighters are on scene, including air tankers that will continue to make retardant and water drops Thursday.
A second fire about four miles north of the Ditch Creek Fire started Wednesday afternoon, and Grand Junction crews have been called to handle that one.
There is no containment estimate for either fire yet.
