SOUTHERN COLORADO -- The tradition is back! The leaves have once again started changing colors.

This year's fall foliage is ahead of schedule because of the dry summer, but there isn't a freeze in sight yet.

U.S. Forest Service officials said Woodland Park has had a few nights below 32 degrees but no hard freezes yet. Still, they said the leaves will probably fall quickly because of the early drought this year.

Aspens that will be close to peaking in the next week are ones near Cripple Creek and Fairplay, according to officials.
