Motorists, be aware. The following is a list fo the highway projects from the Colorado Department of Transportation planned for this week across Southern Colorado.
Officials said all work is dependent upon the weather.
March 17-23, 2013:
US 350 Eastbound/Westbound Nine Miles East of Trinidad
(Milemarker 8.4-8.7) (through July 2013)
24 Hours- There will be one lane alternating traffic with flaggers and temporary traffic signals 24 hours a day for bridge replacement. Project hotline - 719-431-9595. Delays possible. Motorists can use CO 10 between LaJunta and Walsenburg or I-25 between Walsenburg and Trinidad as alternate routes.
US 50 Eastbound/Westbound Between Willis Blvd. and Baltimore Ave. West of I-25
(Milemarker 312) (through October 2013)
7:00 AM-5:00 PM MO-FR Turn lane closures on the south side of US 50 and Baltimore MO-FR for curb and sidewalk removal. The southside of the US 50 and Westroads Blvd. intersection will be closed for intersection upgrades 24/7 until further notice. WE-FR, right lane closed westbound US 50 on the northside of N. Elizabeth St. for curb ramp work. Business access will remain open at Westroads during closure. Delays possible.
US 50 Eastbound/Westbound Between Hasty and McClave
(Milemarker 420) (through May 2013)
7:00 AM-6:00 PM MO-FR, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM MO-FR There will be one lane alternating traffic for surveying and earthwork. 10 minute delays possible. Speed limit reduced to 45 mph and a 12 ft width restriction is in effect through the work zone.
US 85 Northbound/Southbound Between Cook Ranch and just north of Louviers
(Milemarker 193-197) (through October 2013)
8:00 AM-4:30 PM MO-FR Intermittent lane closures with flaggers at Ron King Trail for grading, mulching, and seeding. Delays minimal.
CO 115 Northbound/Southbound at 9th Street and Elm Avenue
(Milemarker 0.8) (through September 2013)
7:00 AM-5:00 PM MO-FR, 24 Hours- Single lane closures possible on SH 115 for widening, roundabout construction at 9th and Elm and realignment of the SH 115 and Elm intersection. Delays possible. West Elm Ave (west of 9th) and South 9th St (south of Elm) are closed 24/7 to through traffic. Nearby residents and businesses have access via Barium Ave.
CO 21 Northbound/Southbound Powers Boulevard Between Woodmen Road and E. Milton
Proby Parkway (Milemarker 140.5) (through March 2013)
8:00 AM-5:00 PM MO-FR Various lane closures on northbound and shoulder closures in both direction on Powers from Barnes to Stetson for drainage improvements and shoulder work. Delays possible.
CO 239 Northbound/Southbound One Mile North of Trinidad
(Milemarker 1) (through April 2013)
24 Hours- There will be one lane alternating traffic 24/7 for duration of project. Traffic signals will regulate traffic. 14 ft width restriction in effect from 1/3/12 through 4/2013. Delays possible.
CO 71 Northbound/Southbound North of Rocky Ford
(Milemarker 19.27) (through April 2013) 24 Hours- Traffic placed on detour route for bridge replacement through completion of project. Delays possible. Speed limit reduced to 45 mph through detour.
