COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police arrested two people Monday afternoon for burglarizing a storage unit.

Police were called to Rite Place Self Storage, in the 3100 block of Mallard Drive near Fountain and Chelton, on the report of a possible burglary.

At the scene, police detained Trisha Sardeson and Levolia Hayes.

The business owner was contacted and police said the detained pair did not have a storage unit at the facility. The pair, according to police, had gained access to two unsecured units that had property located inside.

The owners of the units arrived and found several items that belonged to them inside the suspect's vehicle.

Both Sardensn and Hayes were arrested for burglary and theft, police said.
