COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are investigating an incident that left one man dead Friday morning.

According to police, a man in his early 30s was killed at an apartment complex located in the 2600 block of West Serendipity Circle, near Maizeland Road and Academy Boulevard. His identity and how he was killed is not yet being released.

The incident was initially reported as a stabbing but police said the man was killed by blunt force trauma. A knife was found nearby but it is not yet known if it is connected to this incident.

Police said a person of interest was detained and the public is not at risk.

FOX21 News on scene spoke to a neighbor who he had just been robbed.
