Colorado Springs robbery suspect arrested

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The man accused of robbing at least two Springs businesses over the last 13 months is now in custody.

According to police, 46-year-old Scott Brasselero is the suspect in the robberies at First Bank in Jan. 2012 and the Safeway pharmacy on Nevada Avenue in Jan. 2013.

The Springs Police Robbery Unit and detectives from other agencies investigated several robberies along the Front Range and found a sporadic pattern. Teh pattern was connected through surveillance video and physical evidence.

Brasselero was identifed as the suspect as a result of the investigation. He was arrested on a separate matter in Fremont County.

He is chaged with Aggravated Robbery for the two Springs robberies and he faces other charges in other jurisdictions, police said.
