UPDATE: Homicide is being ruled the cause of death in the case of a body found near Interstate 25 and Cimarron Street Monday morning, police said.

Colorado Springs police are continuing to investigate a man's body that was found near Interstate 25 and Cimarron Street Monday morning.

Police said a citizen called police just before 11 a.m., and reported a body beneath the I-25 northbound on-ramp at Cimarron.

It is currently being investigated as suspicious based on evidence around the scene, police said.

The Major Crimes unit is investigating, and the Coroner's office report to determine the man's identity and cause of death is expected Tuesday.
