The fire happened last February just west of Manitou Springs.  After the fire, El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies contacted one of the suspects, Zachariah Shafffer. The other suspect, Lawrence, refused to come out. A brief standoff ensued but Lawrence eventually surrendered.
