CDOT confirmed the wind restrictions between Pueblo and Trinidad have been lifted.

Highway 50 and Interstate 25 were reopened.

Extremely high winds and low visibility are wreaking havoc across Southern Colorado.

According to the City of Pueblo, I-25 was closed near Stem Beach. It has since reopened.

Colorado State Patrol in Pueblo reported multiple crashes on Highway 50 east of Pueblo and I-25 south of the city.

Highway 50 from Pueblo to Fowler was closed at one point. Multiple vehicle crashes in multiple locations were reported. The highway has since reopened.

High-profile vehicles are not recommended to travel on highways because of the dangerous winds. South of Pueblo, the Colorado Department of Transportation said no high-profile vehicles are allowed on I-25 between Pueblo and Trinidad.

A high wind advisory remains in effect for the area.
