COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two Colorado Springs teenagers were arrested on Monday after police said they made more than 100 prank calls warning of explosives.

At about 7 a.m., police said phone calls were being fielded about reports of possible explosives. The callers said they they received calls from an unknown person who claimed they were a police officer and that they needed to know there was an explosive device outside their home. The first call, according to police, came in from the 5000 block of Windward Circle.

Police said the suspect's phone number was obtained from one of the reporting parties.

A 14-year-old suspect was found at a local high school. He was taken into custody.

His step-brother, 19-year-old Ty Graefox Chavez, was also taken into custody at his home in the 500 block of Swope Avenue. Both teenagers were charged with False Reporting of Explosives, Impersonating an Officer & Felony Menacing.

Police said about 114 prank calls were made between 6:49 a.m., and 8:30 a.m.
