A former Calhan teacher has been arrested for having sex with two students.
Aurora police arrested 27 year old Amanda Rowles Thursday following an investigation by the El Paso County Sheriffs Office. Earlier this school year, administrators at the Calhan School told deputies that Rowles may have had a sexual relationship with a student last year when she was a teacher there. Further investigation revealed that she had an inappropriate relationship during the 2011-2012 school year with two male students, both under the age of 18. She has since moved to the Denver area.
Rowles is charged with two counts each of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, and sexual assault-pattern of abuse. She was held on a $50,000 bond.
