WETMORE, COLO. -- Fire crews battling the 2,200+ acre wildfire near Wetmore took time to rescue a dog and a kitten.

Both animals were found safe and are currently at Eskridge Vet Clinic in Canon City.

Roughly 380 people have been evacuated in a rapidly moving wildfire that started Wednesday, probably from strong wind damage to power lines.

No one has been hurt so far, but 14 houses have burned.

If you're the owner of one of these animals, go to the clinic at 2403 N. 9th St. in Canon City to it up.
