ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, COLO. (AP) -- A wildfire burning in steep, rough terrain on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park has grown to an estimated 400 acres.

High winds Wednesday afternoon grounded a firefighting helicopter at the scene.

No structures are threatened by the fire about two miles west of the Fern Lake trailhead. However, it prompted evacuations of a campground, backcountry campsites and trails in the area Tuesday, affecting about 40 hikers and campers.

In southwest Colorado, crews are trying to contain the Goblin Fire that federal officials say may have been started by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train. The fire was estimated at 350 acres Wednesday. Firefighters burned vegetation near the bottom of Animas Canyon on Tuesday to steer it away from the railroad tracks.
