Small fire burning near Air Force Academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A new spot fire is burning near the Air Force Academy.

Fire officials said the fire was started by lightning, and is burning a large tree and duff.

They said it is located west of the NW corner of the academy, not inside the Waldo Canyon Burn scar.

Crews are on scene, and a helicopter is dropping water.
