PUEBLO, COLO. -- Volunteers with the Pueblo Police Department will be making courtesy calls to those who have municipal warrants, the department announced on Monday.

Volunteers Assisting Pueblo Police, or VAPP, will make the calls to those with warrants. The phone call will detail the warrants and cost associated with the case.

Police said the VAPP members will not be asking for money but instead will ask those people to respond to the Pueblo Municipal Justice Center to take care of the warrant. The Pueblo Municipal Justice Center is located at 200 South Main Street.

Those who make arrangements to clear up the warrants can avoid the possibility of being contacted by police and booked into jail.

More information on warrants is available by calling the Municipal Coutt at (719) 562-3810.
