CAÑON CITY, COLO. -- Two people were taken into custody early Tuesday morning for stealing items from a store.

Police said they received a call just before 3 a.m., Tuesday reporting three men going in and out of the Kountry Komer in the 1500 block of Central Avenue.

After arriving, police saw the three men running east toward the KRLN studio. A foot chase ensued and two of the three men were found hiding in the grass.

The man, one juvenile and one adult, were taken into custody.

Police said the area was searched and items, totaling more than $6,000, were located that had been taken from the store.

Investigation into this incident is continuing, police said.
