COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Police arrested a man for burglarizing a detached garage of a home early Thursday morning.

Dylan Given was charged with Second Degree Burglary, First Degree Criminal Trespass and Theft, police said.

It was about 3:45 a.m., when police responded to a home in the 1100 block of Kingsley Drive on the report of a burglary in a detached garage.

The homeowner told police he could see lights in the garage being turned on and off and that he believed someone was inside.

Given was found inside the garage, police said. He initially told police he was inside to keep warm but he was found to have items in his pocket that were taken from the garage along with a vehicle that was parked in the driveway.
