A Fort Carson soldier has been arrested after threatening two people selling items on Craigslist.
Colorado Springs police say a man trying to sell a cell phone arranged to meet a prospective buyer near Montebello and Academy on November 30. As the "buyer" was holding the phone, a second individual approached the seller from behind and threatened him with a handgun. Both of the suspects fled the scene together.
A simlar incident happened the following day. On December 1, a second person advertising a cell phone met a "buyer" near Westmoreland and Mt View Lane. While the men discussed the cell phone, a suspect came out of hiding and threatened the victim with a gun.
Robbery unit detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 24 year old Hayward Goldsborough, an active soldier at Ft Carson. Army MPs detained Goldsborough and turned him over to robbery detectives. The second suspect is still being sought.
