FORT COLLINS, COLO. (AP) -- New Colorado State head football coach Jim McElwain is bringing Billy Napier from Alabama with him to join his staff.

McElwain hasn't said what role Napier will fill at Colorado State, but it will be on the offensive side of the ball.

Napier was the offensive quality control assistant this past season for national champion Alabama, where McElwain was the offensive coordinator.
