BOULDER, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado assistant women's basketball coach Johnna Pointer has resigned effective immediately to return to a position in Texas.
Head coach Linda Lappe said Friday that Pointer's move will allow her to spend more time with her family, including her 13-year-old daughter.
Pointer plans to return to being administrative president for the Hoop 10 Basketball -- Serious Basketball Instruction program in Amarillo, Texas.
In one season as a Colorado assistant, Pointer helped the team to an 18-16 overall record while advancing to the quarterfinals of the WNIT.
Lappe says players and staff are said to see Pointer go.
