ANN ARBOR, MICH. (AP) -- Michigan's football team will play its home opener against Air Force in 2012.
The Wolverines announced Friday they will host the Falcons on Sept. 8 that year, a week after starting the season against Alabama at Cowboys Stadium. The agreement with Air Force is for one game.
Michigan and Air Force have played each other once before, when the Wolverines opened the 1964 season with a 24-7 win over the Falcons.
Michigan still needs to fill one open slot on its 2012 schedule, with nonconference games against Alabama, Air Force and Notre Dame now set.
The Wolverines open the 2011 season against Western Michigan in what will be Michigan's first game under new coach Brady Hoke.
