Cornell defeats Colorado College 3-2

ITHICA, N.Y. (AP) -- Joel Lowry's second goal was the game-winner as Cornell beat Colorado College 3-2 Saturday for a series sweep.

All three Cornell goals game on the power play, including Lowry's first goal at 2:46 in the second period.

He scored again at 7:16 in the third period, which allowed the Big Red (2-0-0) to survive Colorado College (3-3-0).

Scott Winkler and Charlie Taft scored for Colorado College.

Brian Ferlin had Cornell's first goal.

Andy Iles had 21 saves for Cornell and Colorado College's Josh Thorimbert had 17 saves.

Cornell won 2-0 on Friday.
