DENVER (AP) -- The Colorado Rockies activated infielder Jonathan Herrera from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

Herrera missed 11 games with an infection in his left wrist. He played three games for Triple-A Colorado Springs on a rehab assignment and had one RBI. He is hitting .246 with three home runs and 20 runs scored in 45 games.

To make room for Herrera, the Rockies optioned infielder Tommy Field to Triple-A. He was recalled Saturday to take the roster spot of Marco Scutaro, who was traded a day earlier to San Francisco.
