COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Jeff Collett scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period as Colorado College rallied from two goals down to tie Denver 2-2 Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Tigers beat the Pioneers 2-0 in the series opener Friday in Denver.
Denver (15-9-4, 10-6-4) raced out to a 2-0 lead on first-period goals by Nate Dewhurst at 2:34 and Drew Shore at 8:42. Shore's goal came on the power play.
The Tigers (15-9-2, 12-7-1) came back to tie it in the second.
Jaden Schwartz scored at 7:29 and Collett got the game-tying goal at 10:24.
The third period belonged to the goals. Denver's Juho Olkinuora made nine of his 33 saves in the third period, and Colorado College's Joe Howe -- who replaced starter Josh Thorimbert in the second period -- had nine of his 17 stops. Thorimbert had 12 saves before being replaced.
