DENVER (AP) -- Colorado College goalie Josh Thorimbert made 17 of his 29 saves in the second period as the Tigers beat rival Denver 2-0 Friday in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.

Jayden Schwartz and David Civitarese scored the game's only goals for the 11th-ranked Tigers (15-9-1, 12-7-0). Schwartz got what proved to be the game-winner at 11:48 of the first period and Civitarese added an empty-netter in the last minute.

Colorado College has had trouble scoring recently. After leading the nation in scoring through much of the season, the Tigers have scored just 19 goals in the last eight games. They were 1-for-6 on the power play.

Denver (15-9-3, 10-6-3) got 33 saves from Sam Brittain.
