DENVER (AP) -- Denver scored five times in the second period and went on to a 6-3 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over Bemidji State on Friday.
Trailing 1-0 after one period, the 16th-ranked Pioneers (12-8-3, 7-5-3) scored three times in four minutes.
Bemidji State (11-10-2, 5-8-2) tied it on Jordan George's goal, but Denver added three more goals in less than five minutes.
Drew Shore had two goals and three assists for Denver. Ty Loney added two goals and Joey LaLeggia had a goal and an assist.
Adam Murray had 27 saves.
Kyle Brodie and Brance Orban had a goal and an assist each for the Beavers, whose five-game winning streak ended.
Goalie Andrew Walsh had 18 saves. He had won his previous four games.
