Cornell, Colorado College skate to 3-3 tie

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Jaden Schwartz's second goal for Colorado College with 30 seconds left in the third period sent the game to overtime and led to a 3-3 tie with Cornell on Saturday.

Schwartz's first goal early in the second period gave the sixth-ranked Tigers (12-7-1) a 2-0 lead. Rylan Schwartz's 17th goal opened the scoring midway through the first period. Both players added assists to their point totals.

But Cornell scored the next three goals in the men's college hockey game to go up 3-2 at 11:54 of the third period. Joel Lowry, Sean Collins and Greg Miller notched goals for the Big Red (9-4-2).

Andy Iles made 23 saves for Cornell, including three in overtime.

Joe Howe stopped just 19 shots for the Tigers. He did not have a save in overtime.

Thirteenth-ranked Cornell won the series opener 3-1 on Friday.
