AIR FORCE ACADEMY, COLO. (AP) -- Michael Lyons scored 21 points and Air Force's swarming defense held Colorado State scoreless for nearly nine minutes in the second half, propelling the Falcons to a 74-57 win over the Rams on Saturday.

Todd Fletcher and Tom Fow each had 13 points and Evan Washington dished out eight assists as the Falcons (14-13, 5-9 Mountain West) snapped a four-game skid. Washington also broke the school record by making his 107th start.

Andy Ogide finished with 27 points for the Rams (18-10, 8-6), who were dealt a serious blow to their NCAA tournament aspirations with their third straight loss.
