DENVER (AP) -- Denver spotted Michigan Tech an early lead and roared back to beat the Huskies 5-1 Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Denver remained two points behind North Dakota in the race for the top seed in the upcoming WCHA playoffs. Both teams have four games remaining.

The Huskies (4-24-4, 2-20-2), who stunned the Pioneers 3-2 on Friday to snap a 25-game winless streak, got on the board first on Ryan Furne's goal at 4:25 of the first period.

It was all Denver (19-8-5, 15-6-3) from there.

Drew Shore and Nick Shore scored before the first period ended and David Makowski and Beau Bennett scored in the second for a 4-1 lead.

Adam Murray and the Pioneers' defense made it stand up. Murray had 18 saves but only five in the third period.

Kevin Genoe had 31 saves for Michigan Tech.
