COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado College took a four-goal lead after two periods and coasted to a 4-2 win over North Dakota in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game on Friday.

The Tigers (15-11-1, 9-8-0) improved to 14-0-1 when leading after two periods. North Dakota (18-8-2, 13-6-0) is 2-3-0 in its last five games.

Fourth-ranked North Dakota missed an opportunity to move into first place in the WCHA. Conference leader Denver holds a one-point lead over the Fighting Sioux and is idle this week, as is Minnesota-Duluth, which is tied with North Dakota for second place.

Dakota Eveland and Alexander Krushelnyski scored in the first period and Jeff Collett and William Rapuzzi netted goals in the second.

Jason Gregoire scored both goals for the Sioux, including a breakaway short-handed goal with Colorado College on a 5-on-3 power play.

Joe Howe made 38 saves for the Tigers and Aaron Dell stopped 36 shots for the Sioux.
