DENVER (AP) -- David Makowski scored on the power play with 9:58 left in the third period as Denver rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie Northern Michigan 2-2 in men's college hockey on Saturday.
Kyle Ostrow had a goal and an assist for Denver (13-5-4), which had won Friday's series opener.
Denver peppered Wildcats goalie Jared Coreau with 47 shots, while holding Northern Michigan to just 13 shots on goal. Coreau made 21 saves in the second period and two in overtime.
Northern Michigan jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one period on goals by Tyler Gron and Erik Higby.
The Pioneers closed the gap on a short-handed goal by Ostrow at 10:24 of the second period and Makowski got the equalizer at 10:02 of the third. Makowski's goal came on the power play.
Sam Brittain had 11 saves. Denver outshot the Wildcats 75-30 during the series.
