Nebraska-Omaha blanks Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- John Faulkner stopped 24 shots and Nebraska-Omaha defeated Colorado College 3-0 Sunday night, snapping the Tigers' six-game winning streak.

Matt White, Rich Purslow and Brock Montpetit scored for the Mavericks (12-5-1, 9-4-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association).

White scored in the first period and the other goals came in the third period against Joe Howe, who made 38 saves for the Tigers.

Colorado College (11-8-1, 8-6) missed a chance to pass Nebraska-Omaha for fourth place in the WCHA.
