FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) —Roddy White was back at practice for the Atlanta Falcons after ending an eight-day holdout.

White took part in a two-hour morning workout at the Falcons' suburban training complex Monday. He dropped a couple of passes, but got in plenty of work with the first team and hopes to be able to play in the preseason opener at Detroit on Saturday.

White held out while demanding a new contract from the Falcons. Over the weekend, he agreed to a six-year, $50 million deal that includes $18.6 million in guaranteed money.
