COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs police dog helped to catch a man wanted on several felony warrants Friday morning.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Fountain Street, near Fountain and Union, at about 8 a.m. about Eric Eugene Caruthers.

Caruthers was wanted on several felony warrants, including Domestic Violence.

When police arrived, Caruthers was seen running through the alley. A perimeter was set up and a K-9 was called in to help.

A K-9 named Max responded to the call. Max was able to quickly identify Caruther's scent.

Caruther's pursuit was tracked and he was found hiding under a truck in the alley. He was taken into custody without any further incident, police said.
