WALNUT, Calif. – Air Force assistant coach Allen Johnson will be inducted into the Mt. SAC Relays Hall of Fame, as a member of the Class of 2013, the Mt. SAC Relays Selection Committee announced this afternoon (March 8).

Johnson, the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 110-meter hurdles, is one of seven hurdlers to be inducted into the Mt. SAC Relays Hall of Fame for 2013.

The selection committee decided to designate an entire class of hurdlers, due to the fact that the 110-meter hurdles is the one event that "seems to really shine at Mt. SAC, in terms of who competes and takes part."

"The talent that assembles each and every year is nothing short of amazing," the selection committee said during its announcement. "This year, we are proud to highlight and induct a number of men who have competed in that event and made it such a crowd pleaser."

Joining Johnson in the Class of 2013 are fellow hurdlers Dominique Arnold, Tonie Campbell, Dedy Cooper, Mark Crear, Greg Foster and Tommy Whit.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Wednesday, April 17, prior to the start of the 55th annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
