Todd Helton to play for Grand Junction team

GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton is making an appearance in Grand Junction.

Helton is scheduled to play for the Rockies' rookie league affiliate, the Grand Junction Rockies, on Friday and Saturday against Missoula.

He went on the 15-day disabled list with right hip inflammation July 13. He is hitting .235 with seven home runs and 34 RBIs this season.
