SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (AP) -- Carlos Gonzalez hit a three-run homer in the first inning and added an RBI single in the third, and the Colorado Rockies scored seven times in the first three innings to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 Wednesday night in a split-squads game.

The Diamondbacks, who lost to San Diego earlier, have dropped nine of their last 11 Cactus League games.

Jonathan Griffin hit a long home run for Arizona in the ninth inning, Ryan Roberts had a pair of singles and Chris Young added a two-run single.

Rockies starter Juan Nicasio allowed one unearned run in four innings. Nicasio, who was hit the head by a line drive and suffered a broken neck requiring surgery when he fell last Aug. 5, hasn't allowed an earned run in seven innings this spring.

Gonzalez homered deep to right center off Arizona starter Josh Collmenter, who struck out two in two innings.
