Denver beats Nebraska-Omaha 3-2 in OT

OMAHA, NEB. (AP) -- Daniel Doremus scored midway through overtime as Denver beat Nebraska-Omaha 3-2 Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Doremus got the game-winner at 2:35 of the extra period. It was the second shot on goal in overtime by the Pioneers (21-11-4, 16-8-4), who finished third in the WCHA standings.

Drew Shote and Luke Salazar also scored for Denver. Salazar also had an assist and Nick Shore had two assists.

Sam Brittain made 38 saves for the Pioneers.

Jayson Megna and Andrej Sustr scored for the Mavericks (14-16-6, 11-12-5).

Austin Lee had 29 saves for UNO.
